Im trying to figure out my valve clearence because my bike wont start easily if at all. Im a 2 stroke guy that just went 4 and i know that the bike has been gone over from top to bottom about 2 months before i bought it. The valves are steel aftermarkets that shouldnt be worn out by now. I need to figure out the intake valve clearence but i cant even get a .0015" feeler gauge in there and the clearence should be .006" +-.001". If anyone can walk me through it or tell me what i am doing or what else might be the problem it would be much appreciated.

BEST thing to do is at this point take it to the dealer...let him show you how to do it so you see how it is done...then get it back together and dump that headache...hey you live and learn...i learned my lesson with the exact same bike...if you get a buyer i still have mine...im holding on to it till the spring if it doesnt sell right away...putting it away and puttin the fuel stabilizer in it soon...
