i believe this is a 1989 if not newer kx500 that needs a top end bike ran really good before that put a new top end in and ride 550 or best offer books for 1150

can you provide the VIN number, I can tell you the year with it.  does it currently run at all or have any compression, spark?  i might be interested.

what happened to the top end? ring or piston break?  is it seized?  have you pulled the head or pipe to see if the cylinder is damaged?  where are you located?

pulled the head cylinder is fine just piston and rings and in maine
