Hey so i blew my motor on my 06 KX250f and i tore it apart and the rod was in the block. so the rod broke off the piston came down and then back up and shattered a quarter of the cylnder and went through the block(not all the way).

I am going to try to part this motor out the cases can be saved from what i have been told.
Stator
engine covers
and the head are taken
The transmission is good for the taking. Shifts very smoothly.

So basically heres a list of what can be used.

Shifter
kick starter
Transmission
Full Clutch (i may take it for a spare)
engine cases
Water Pump
hoses

Idk who told you those case halves are savable. They are ****ed!

lol well i have seen the halfs like mine welded shut because i believe the cylinder goes over it any ways so i think its savable maybe not
