I realize this is a classifieds area and I do not want to turn this into a complaint section of CNYMRA but I feel this in important and hits very close to home.

All residents of Ogden, NY: The town is seeking to create a new law PROHIBITING the use of offroad vehicles such as motorcycles, ATV's, side-by-sides and snowmobiles on your OWN PROPERTY. If you live in Ogden and have an off-road vehicle and want to ride with out getting a ticket and/or arrested for doing so, then oppose this law at the public meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 (5-27-09) at 7:00 p.m. at the Ogden Community Center.

This ordinance will affect EVERY resident in the community. Say NO to Introductory Local Law #2-2009. You pay taxes, so why is the government restricting what you can and cannot do on your own property? Come speak your opinion at the meeting!

What about riding lawnmowers? Interesting they are only targeting recreational type activities. Think this can't happen everywhere in NY? How about all across the US? Think again. It was big news years ago when Jeremy McGrath was banned from riding on his own land in CA. Southern CA is the still the MX capital of the world and most of the pros that live there cannot ride on their own land. Many are moving to FL, GA, TX, and NC to get away from the CA liberals. NY is just as bad.

Remember, we are still fighting the CPSIA lead ban. It is not over yet. It has just been put on hold for further review.

Everyday the politicians that we vote for are flirting with destroying our rights. Remember this when you vote. Your local elections are by far the most important. Know your local representatives and what values they hold.
