please help with youth racing???

I would like to get my 3year old son onto a bike this year and i was just curious on what kind of bike i should get him.  I want to get him a PW 50 or something like that.   with training wheel's.  Im curious on like what to get him like gear.  I know he will prob outgrow it fast im just curious on what size boots and stuff to get him.  IM a racer myself but have no clue on youth racing.   Thanks

Bring him down to Sport-Mann, I have a ton of youth gear I can get him sized up with.

and he will outgrow it, FAST. My little guy has almost as much gear as I do and only 2 pieces fit.

Hello Joe,

I have a 5 yr old that started riding a Suzuki JR50 with training wheels at 2 1/2 yrs old. Last year at 4 1/2 we switched to a P3 Cobra.  I currently have two JR50's for sale if interested. One is a 2004 that my son raced in D3 races last year. Bike was regeared and equipped with better tires.  The other is a 2006 and was hardly ever ridden.  I have 4 sets of training wheels, two different types for each bike. If interested I have pics. We also two pair of size 12 Berik boots which are in very good condition. If you have any questions at all please feel free to call me at 315-225-0564after 3pm.

Joe

as long as you feel your kid can ride the bike well enough and is comfortable enough on the bike to complete the course....take him to a race!!!
