Alittle help on district 3 quad racing.

I have wrote to alot of members of District 3 and have not received any emails back, So maybe ya'll can help me. Do you know if there is a quad track racing class for a raptor 660r mod? Im looking to start racing this year on like a motocross track and such, It has been raced Flat track but changed over for jumps and track racing. Please if anyone knows if there is a class for me post. Greatly appreciated. Thanks.

district 3 doesnt have classes per engine size for quads, you can run in the novice,am or expert, depending on your ability,if you have never raced before you should start in novice and if you feel that there isnt enough competition you can promote your self to the next level ,hope this helps

just a suggestion you may want to run novice for a couple of times, just to be sure becuase once you sign up as a am rider you cant go down and d-3 has some pretty fast nov riders  ,take care john

hmm You may be right because as you were saying, I can always move up just harder to move down. So ya ill prob start off slower then move up if I feel no competition. One more question. Do you have the phone number for Cnymra?

if youre on a raptor you will prob find more then enough comp in novice against the 450s. those raptors are dangerous as hell.

Lol, Im riding a modded raptor 660r, Totally modded to the max, I mean it has like 8 grand invested in it, But all machines are dangerous. Im use to my raptor on track and how it handles.

I know a guy mike v. who raced a raptor in the quad expert class and did well. he was a good rider. ride what you are comfortable riding and ride in your ability its just for fun so good luck... quad nov can be crazy and fast depending on who is there, but am and expert is a whole different group. very fast ..... start in nov. like john said.  just my 2 cents

i dont have a phone # but you can download and print the membership form and send it in to them and they will send you your card you are also going to need a ama card you can get them both at the track if you would  like they do both ama and district at all the tracks but if you have a # you want it would be best to do now,

Ive been racing bikes since 2002 and this year i wanted to try something different so i have a 86 trx250r that im gonna try out quads.  its got a few things done to it but want to see how it does against the 450's before i put a 330 or 350 in it.  motor wise it is 1.25mm overbore and a 87 hot rods crank and rod with a 86 piston which makes it a 4.8mm stroker.  brings it up to 273cc

the old  r  should be ok  if you can ride  decent but  20 yrs   on it   unless its  a freshly built  race bike is  going to turn your hair  grey and  your  already putting yourself  at a  slight disadvantage,  if you into 250rs  a guy had a nice lsr  one   on here with a  big bore...but  id personally find a   nice    walsh crf 450 hybrid  or  buy a  used production 450 already set up nice

It doesn't matter what you ride or how much money it cost, it's all rider.
