rider #399 austin crouse was injured last night and transported to littlefalls hospital and then airlifted to albany med,he has 3 lacerations to the spleen and 1 laceration to the kidney,he also had a collapsed long which came back,he's currently in albany med in icu,which they are watching the spleen and kidney for extensive bleeding,the surgeon would like to see it heal on its own if not surgery will be next,i will keep posted as this progresses.

here's the latest!!
the spleen and kidney is progressing,they took more x-rays of the lung as it's been damaged,they are moving him little by little,for lung purposes,the bleeding to the spleen and kidney is to a miniumum,which is great,healing is taking it's toll,thankgod.as long as he can keep liquid down and light food in system their is a great chance they will let him come home monday,out of school for the rest of year and no bikes for the remainder of season because of spleen and kidney being lacerated,
we appreciate all the concerns from everyone as cnymra is a family oriented sport!!!

Yikes, nasty injuries and such a young rider.  You can ask any motocross racer or parent and they will tell ya it is a really great sport......except for this part.  Sounds like he is coming around.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys.  Get well soon!

Wow, hoping for a quick recovery! The good news is you can hand him a microphone for the rest of the season, and he'll be happy. He does love to talk! haha. I'll keep him in my prayers.

Thanks for all the replys,as austin was reading them,he is out of hospital,but he has a long road ahead of him to heal up 100% ,he will not be racing for the rest of this year,again thanks for the concerns.
