This was on racer X online this morning,,,,anyone got an extra 168 grand...???? It looks like hard times have fallen on Broome-Tioga, the former AMA National Motocross track above Binghamton, New York. The facility, which sold it's national to Freestone in Texas several years ago, is now being offered up for auction by the U.S. Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service. According to the post, "The property described below has been seized for nonpayment of internal revenue taxes due from Taxpayer. The property will be sold at public auction as provided by Internal Revenue Code section 6335 and related regulations." The auction will take place on September 21, 2011. im shure its difficult on the hurds but have any of them came out and said anything and why has d3 not said anything its obvious the news is out i agree with w ewhamstier...i wana know what to plan for seeing work requires a few weeks notice..and its not like if it gets baught that they are ready to roll new management takes time to esablish..there are just a whole lot of unanswerd questions that we all would like answerd and no one is saying anything

Heard it frm someone who works there. I am really hoping the are wrong too. I like Thunder almost as much as Unadilla Am track. In fact i was told Unadilla wanted to buy it as a practice track. Personally, I think the dairy operation in New Berlin would be looking to buy the land since they are buying a lot of farmland surrounding their plant.

well if broome is fine then why is it for sale? if there are no more races there i'd like to know. i hope that broome is fine its a great track.
