RMs were the best 250 2-strokes, followed closely by YZ 250s, then KX 250s. CR 250s were not very good.

Only thing holding the cr's back was the carb. Find a Keihn TWK airstriker carb 36-38 mm and your cr will rip. Funny that Honda used a Mikuni and they own Keihn???

I had an 05 cr250 with this carb, vforce reed cage, pro-circuit pipe and silencer and it ripped. Could hang with 450's everywhere but big hills and long straights.

Actually, it was the overly large crankcase volume.
