The BR9EG is basicly the same plug as the ES. The EG was created to replace the ES in machines that are more apt to fowl plugs. The tip of the EG is a little smaller, only because the metal used is a better conductor, and its harder so it doesnt need as much surface area to make it last. I had wondered the same thing about the tips when I first started using EG's in my dirtbikes so I called NGK. I figured since the BR9EG didnt seem to work, that the ES wouldnt be any better so I didnt even try. I'm going to pick up 2 BR9EIX's and 2 BR9EYA's and I will try the BR9ES just to be sure and I'll post my results in case there is any interest.
Thanks for your input.
