check yr serial number located on yr frame underneath yr steering stem it might tell you the year of yr bike if the sticker is not there idk if its like a honda but both my hondas the 3rd didget up from the bottom is the year of the bike my yamaha is different i think mine is a 2003 yz 250f so check the frame of yr steering stem

 The last 4 digits are 3281. So maybe it is an 02?

Are there any sites I can check the vin for the year?

I checked a web site an indeed it is an 02'. The Tenth number in the vin tells the year of the bike. Mine is a 2.

Here's the chart.  Compare the 10th digit on your VIN to this chart and it will tell you the year of the bike.
