i agree, need to make a somewhat full class so they are out on track by them selves, getting to big of a variety on track now, at royal, it was school boy all the way down to 4yr olds on 50's at the same time, all racers were well mannered though, saw alot of respect for the slower riders

10. Rider Age: Riders must be at least 16 years old to compete in the amateur classes.

amateur classes are all classes C through A. Your son could run the schoolboy sr. class in the nationals(15-17) which is up to 400cc. www.atvmotocross.com/pages/amateur-racers/2010-supplemental-rules

Come on guys, tell your buddies to dust off their old Blasters and 300ex's, strap on your riding gear and come out and have some fun. This class NEEDS to be here. I hear a lot of grumblings when I go to the meetings about axeing this class. But everyone in the District realizes why it needs to be and knows that it is a necessary class. I keep telling them to be patient that it will take a season to grow this class. We have thought of capping the 90 class at 13 years old.

they need to lift the  restrictions  to 12-18 theres 16-18 yr olds  on smaller wheelers  that  cant afford a  450...let them run it

Ok you have me confused, in the A,B and C class it doesnt have to be a 450, it can be a 300, 400, 660, 250 - 2 stroke, what ever....., so the 16 - 18 year olds can run in the C (novice) class if they want to get riding. No one under the age of 16 can race a machine larger than 400cc per AMA insurance regulations.

kids arent going to race  300ex's  against 450s...so  put em in the 12-15 or  lose the entry from either  class...doesnt make  sense   to just lose the entry on some  dumb age  restriction

if  they dotn change the  age  restriction for the 450 s  there is always ne atv

kids on 300 ex's do ride the 12-15 school boy class, but that's the age group.

16 to ride a 450 that is AMA's ruling.

i've seen alot of 300s run with the 450s  and i mean run with them....in fact theres alot of kids out there on 300s or blasters that smoke 450s...ya it takes a real good rider but they still compete

yeah machine factors more than age  when it comes to ability.. i know alot of kids can ride a  300  well enough to  run with a  450 but...first timers    wont even bother  so  make it  12-18  200/300,  your not going to see  anything happen here with that  class unless you open up  the class to more riders  and  advertise it...most ppl still dont know   there is  a class for it

there is a 15year old riding in 450  nervous  class now ....that what im saying, and no one is saying that its right or wrong either  way. jordan robinson is on a 90 shifter put in with 25 plus 450 riders now and is running with them .and thats ok? i dont know ,just blowing off steam i guess .let them run we are selling our quad anyways and getting 450 one way or another ,disbelief

whos the 15yr old running novice?? as far as i know im the youngest kid on a 450 in d3....and i agree 100 percent with the schoolboy running with the +25 class part...they might just as well run 450s themselves as long as there out there with them
