It looks like its $50 to park in the AM pits whether its a car, truck or camper. It's $20 to park an extra car down in the regular parking area for the weekend (so for a camper and a car it will be $70 total).

This seems like a very good way to keep the poor people out of the sport. Family of 4 will cost about $500 for the weekend (dad racing 2 classes and the kids in 1 class each) + fuel, food and some broken parts it could come in right around a grand.blankstare

So a truck pulling a camper, you have to pay $50 for the truck and $50 for the camper? Then $40 saturday for the pros And your good for the weekend?

No, truck with camper is $50. Then you have to pay $70 for each person for the entire weekend (no camping for just saturday) and $40 for each class you intend to race. If you want to have someone else come who plans to stay at your site they have to pay $20 to park in the lower field (and walk up to amature pits) or pay $50 to park at your site as well as the $70 enterance fee.

It is a great plan to extract as much money as possible from the racers, inorder to race you pretty much must camp and inorder to camp you must have a vehicle, inorder to have a vehicle it will cost an additional $50.

So the minimum amount for 1 person to come race one class would be $160.

I think it is so stupid, they get enough money from all of us..$50 to camp for the weekend is a rip off.. Dac1915 you got it..about a grand for the weekend...omg...I know about 2 families who have never missed it who are not going , can't afford it...

The only way to change it is to vote with our pocketbooks. Don't go to the race; if enough people don't go, they will lose money. All economic principals are built around price elasticity and cost utility.

Maybe if enough people say "f'it" and don't show, the AMA will take note and change will take place.

Personaly I would rather they had the National at Broome, at least there the AM riders are worthy of racing on the Pro track, , the track is better (in my opinion), the spectating is better (again in my opinion ) and the owners care about actual racing more than maximizing profit.

I bet alot of racers don't realize this, it is printed on the cards they send out to racers but it is fine print and easy to miss when reading it...it is below the entry fees $50 for each vehicle and $20 to park in front lot..

So let me get this straight, If I show up there by myself in just my truck (no trailor) and plan on sleeping in the cab of my truck, i'm looking at 50 to park, and 70 for the admission for the weekend, and then 80 to race two classes? 200 bucks?

I talked to someone at dilla and they told me not to forget that this is not a district race it is a PRO event... I said that I have been going for 5 years now and never had to pay a parking overnight fee of $50...

You are correct.

Don't forget the $10 extra if you want to bring a pitbike.

well I dont have a pit bike, but i'm sure they'll find a way to say 20 for second bike (125) becaues even though i'm racing it its twice hte size of a pit bike, there for 20 dollars. What a joke. THey know people will pay. Guess I should start saving now...

ya 50$ for camping is a little crazy... in this day and age its is so hard for the average guy to even make it to the races let alone an extra $50 extra hit at the gate. Gas is still at least $3.50 a gallon and nothings getting cheaper or easier for people to get by. With 4 lap motos I brake it down to about $15 -20 a lap at dilla for AM weekend now. Is it still worth it ?????

No that is totally wrong, they wouldn't need to have weekend warrior rent-a-cops with pecker spray if they didn't treat the local racers that make the whole weekend possible like pieces of dog shat. That's why the wheeler meet the fire pit, ya gotta get your moneys worth some how.
