This letter is neither an encomium of Mr. YAMAHA48 nor a panegyric to his traducements. Instead, it is a fact-filled reportage intended to convince you that a real fight against silly, pompous extremism can be undertaken only if a basic change in social conditions makes it possible to feed the starving, house the homeless, cure the sick, and still find wonder and awe in the sunrise and the moonlight. Note that some of the facts I plan to use in this letter were provided to me by a highly educated person who managed to escape YAMAHA48's foul-mouthed, bumptious indoctrination and is consequently believable. Every time he tries, YAMAHA48 gets increasingly successful in his attempts to rebrand local churches as faith-based emporia teeming with impulse-buy items. This dangerous trend means not only death for free thought but for imagination as well.

Trying to keep YAMAHA48 from blaming those who have no power to change the current direction of events is a sucker's game. No matter how hard we try to stop him, he'll always find some new way to cement the foundation of our currently metastasizing police state into the law of the land. We can divide his hijinks into three categories: grotty, unprofessional, and high-handed. It amazes me how successful YAMAHA48 has been at declaring martial law, suspending elections, and rounding up dissidents (i.e., anyone who does not buy his lie that fascism provides an easy escape from a life of frustration, unhappiness, desperation, depression, and loneliness). History will look back on that unfortunate success with profound regret and wonder why the people of our time didn't do more to expose all of YAMAHA48's filthy, subversive, and destructive activities. Perhaps our answer should be that YAMAHA48 sees the world as somewhat anarchic, a game of catch-as-catch-can in which the sneakiest gauleiters nab the biggest prizes. If you understand that I, speaking as someone who is not a revolting tightwad, have been a veritable oasis of civility in the present debate, then you can comprehend that I once managed to get him to agree that he utilizes his silver tongue to beguile and obfuscate genuine rhetorical exchanges of finely cogitated thought. Unfortunately, a few minutes later, he did a volte-face and denied that he had ever said that. Finally, to those of you who are faithfully helping me listen to others, let me extend, as always, my deepest gratitude and my most affectionate regards.

truth is when i offer you money or a opinion on your "bike" is it seen as a value at the current time taking all considerations into count. season, market values, maintance, how many time you have posted your "bike" etc, along with alot of other factors like if is was ridden by and old vet or a 16 year old kid that thinks hes barcia. look at my history of what ive sold and have bought, im not going to waste my time with "junk" but if i offer up $XXXX.xx for a bike it is how much someone need money or if they dont want to deal with it anymore or what, if someone needs money and wants to sell their "bike" i will give them a fair number for it taking in all factors into consideration. If you dont take that money then, it is not seen as an isult, but just and offer. You also cant shouldnt expect to get 20% more for your "bike" then a new one costs, when the seasons are changing and the economy is in a hole. I have money to spend and i will help people out when they need a relief. Look at my posts this isnt my first time around the block, and i am not some teenager looking to cause trouble, so know your facts before you make assumptions.

As soon at 4 stroke bikes have been ridden XX hours they values on them drop considerably because of the maintance require after XX mark ( varies for brands ) lets assume (50-70 hours) if a 4 stroke hasnt been touched yet then you can make the assumption that in the next (5-20 ) hours you will need to do a complete rebuild on it costing uppwared of $1200 + depending on part choosen to rebuild it. (all values for a used 4 stroke bike) This 1200 * 35% should be subtracted from the specified book value of the "bike" depending on the time of year, hours, rider, etc. Dont forget you will probably have to do most bearings and seals on the bike too so consider that when you buy a used bike.

As for a 2 stroke bike you should be able to get close to what it books for, do your reseach before you post your 1999 for $4000 (dont get me wrong the right 1999 could be worth $4000) Two stroke bikes you can do full motor rebuild for less than $600 so buying a used two stroke is not as much of a worry as a 4 stroke bike. Still take into consideration all the variables before you buy a used bike or make an offer on a bike. (look below for used values) 2 stroke bikes are the best bang for the buck and do hold there values 45% better than 4 stroke bikes. (Perrymx23 - yes you are right on your bike CR500 conversions done right (which you have done) are worth good money, yours is deffiantly worth 6k all day.)

This is not meant to be an insult, but below are values of most current (race-able) bikes that are on the market today, taking all considerations into considerations just off the top of my head but pretty close. All values are pulled based on economy, demand, selling prices, advertised prices, ebay, wanted adds, swap sheets etc.

All values are estimates based one what has been selling due to year, hours, riders, etc. predictions based on all book values and selling points, if someone wants something appriased just ask, i have a wealth of knowledge of the entire powersports industry and if someone just wants to unload something shoot me a message, dont expect top dollar for "bikes" that have new graphics on them and no maintance done to them. Just my two sense on the subject, but this message board is a privilege not a place for games.
