What class is best ?

Hi , I am getting both of my boys into moto x this coming year. Here is the info : Boy 1 - will be 12 this early may. His bike is a 2011 Yamaha yz 85 big wheel Boy 2 - just turned 12 one month ago . His bike is a 2005 Honda cr85r big wheel. They are both new and have never raced before. I am not sure if they are supposed to be in the senior mini or open mini class . Or something else. I am ready to sign them up with AMA and district 3. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks again !

If the two kids did not have big wheels they could run the 85 class but the only class like meili stated is the open mini you could run with big wheels. Also a small wheel bike would be able to run 85 class and open mini if that is a option for you.
