Is anyone here going to the Mid East Loretta Lynn AM regional?

Hey whats up. Just looking to see if any other D3 members will be going to the Mid - East  AM regional at Baja Acres in Michigan? I'm going in my little Tacoma and a tent most likely but just looking to find another local person to try and maybe hook up with along the way or pit together or to just know to look for the other one. It would be cool just to know of any other fellow local riders out there since its a ways from home.  Thanks

Hey Gar, have fun man, good luck. Have you ever been there? Hopefully you make it out for practice on Friday, it's a completely different track than anything around here. Guys scores at the regional are going to be so messed up because it's one of those tracks that anything can happen, so don't quit. I got in a pile up 10 feet out of the starting gate in my 2nd and 3rd motos there, and I almost just pulled off, glad I didn't. There's plenty of parking there, nice flat area. You're only 5 minutes from town with some good places to eat and plenty of stores. It's a really well run track, very proffesional. Except the announcer, he was annoying. Anyway, keep it on two wheels and you'll make the big show no problem! Oh yeah, and that number 15 guy (big, heavy guy) that was at your area qualifier....he hauls ass there, no joke.

Hey whats up Matt. No dude I've never been there but I will definitely be hitting the Friday practice sessions up to try and get the track dialed in. I've seen some footage of it and it looks pretty gnarly. Sandy, rough, fast, and some big booter jumps. I'm excited to ride it. I know that #15 dude your talking about too. At my Mid-East area I had a good battle with him in my second moto. My first moto was crappy, it was raining and I had a bad start so It was tricky not knowing the track and passing my way up thru. My second moto though I holeshotted and led a couple laps but he was going for broke behind me and about took me out cause the track was so dam narrow, pretty much the entire track was no more than 10ft wide and it made it so that that you were forced to make contact most times in the corners to get a pass made...I just wanted to get qualified and back home safe (1200 miles round trip) and to work on Monday morning so after that I just let him have it and I just chilled out and rode it out for the rest of the moto not pushing it or putting up much of a battle. I rode overly super conservative at both of  my area qualifiers cause both were a long trip from home and a lot of expense so I just wanted to get the job done get qualified and move on so I did'nt focus on winning at all just qualifying. The regionals will be a different story though... I'm gonna giver er hell every moto and leave it all out on the track and hopefully it will be enough to happen for me. Thanks man for the reply. Hope all is good with and hopefully I'll see ya around one of these days to bench race and catch up.  Later
