i have a 2006 all american sport 281fb. (google it if you want pics, my rig is in storage)  may be upgrading to a fifth wheel in the spring. ive owned it 2 years. i bought it from the original owner that only used it a few times and stored it indoors (pole barn).  you may have seen me at the district races. i race quads, pull it with a 03 2500hd duramax red ext cab long box.  living area is completely sealed off from garage.  has a bunk over the garage (part of interior living space. high end cabinets, most ppl that see it think its brand new. very modern colors/interior.  trailer has all options from factory except generator. i use my honda generators (2x honda 2000iu run in parallel). i also upgrade to 2 6volt golf cart batteries run in series to make 12v but can dry camp if need be for at least 4 days (done it) with out goin dead, obv you have to conservative.  it took me a while to find a toyhauler that was bumper pull and had a seperate garage/living space.  i would never own a toyhauler with a full open plan.  wayyyyyyy to much dirt gets into everything.  another thing is im 6'4" so fitting in a bumper pull can be tough, but this trailer has 8foot interior ceilings, and i can stand in the the shower and put my hands above my head.  has a full queen bed.  overall height of the exterior is 11'10" (yes shes tall!!) and a total length of 31 feet end to end plus the 4 foot tongue.  weighs in at just under 8k dry.  gvwr 12,200lbs.  also trailer doesnt have slideouts which i love....wayy less maintance, risk for leaks, one less thing to break.  this is the ideal set up for 2 ppl.  me and my gf love the trailer. sometimes my buddy and his gf come to the raaces and i will admit it can get tight with 4 adults.  or if oyu have kids, may get alittle tight.

one nice thing with toyhaulers that i find is they are dual purpose.  i use my rig for more than just racing. i do my share of camping and the garage becomes my man cave.  i throw my recliners in the back and put the tv in the back and i have all the room to veg out.  also take my street bike with me. 

i owe 12k so thats where i would be price wise.

sure theres cheaper ones out there but you get what you pay for.. pay close attention to how well its been maintained, like rubber roof treatment, waxing of exterior, caulking of seems and windows, overall cleanliness, rust on underside from parking over GRASS! fit and finish of the trailer itself, what are the batteries like. what kind of shape is the garage, does it has a screen built in, have handle bars punched through the wall?  alot of the ones i looked at previous to my purchase were pretty rough or neglected.  rvs are alot of maintance so be prepared....
